Tips for a clean run

Tips for a clean run

Keep it still

Prop your iPhone. Don’t hold it.

Keep it level

For a projectile, x and y follow the picture’s edges, so a tilted iPhone tilts your data. The Level step checks it before you film.

Face it square-on

Stand back and fit the whole run or flight, with room to spare.

Include something to measure

Anything of known length works, at the same distance from the camera as the cart or object. You mark it in the video to set the scale.

Use good light

Bright light keeps a fast cart or object sharp.

Finish in Desmos

Choose Desmos, then Copy Data, and paste it into Desmos. Fitting the curve is your part.
